2020 FELLOWSHIP and NURTURE ANNUAL REPORT
Our purpose is to handle advertising and public relations, help greet visitors that come to our church to worship or attend our public events and keep attendance records.
We had a troubling year and unfortunately or regular events were canceled. We are hoping for 2021 to be a better year in the coming months and to get some of these events and new events started back up in 2021.
Events in 2020 include the following:
Peace Candle
Chili Cook off in Feb 2020 and we had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
o Jerry 1st place
o Ron 2nd place
o Jay 3rd place
Helped with FPLB Volunteer and drop off Meals at the Day Center on Woodbourne Rd.
We continue to once again, our Shared Meals working with Tifereth Israel to provide a nutritional meal, warmth, and a welcoming smile to individuals and families in need of a dinner and company on the second Thursday of each month. About 35 to 40 meals are served.
Funds and food are provided by BPC and Tifereth Israel. A big THANK YOU to The Deacons for taking over this mission and the continuing role on coordinating our church’s part in this program during 2020 and for all the helpers. Once again THANKS go to everyone who provided the food and their help to make and drop off meals at the church on that day.
We are the sponsor of the Pen Ryn School with four members servicing on the board this year. They provided twenty-four Thanksgiving Baskets.
I am grateful to the committee for all their support, ideas, and help. They are, Kim Hatton, Ellen Suchniak, Carol Toth, Jerry Wilkins, Barb Gregorwicz, Lenore and Dimitri, we also want to thank Rev. Ken Wonderland and Sue Wonderland.
